Las Vegas veterans Michael Frey and Craig Gilbert combined their passion for the fun things in life to create a new venture focusing on restaurants, nightlife and retail concepts. Within two years, the partners unveiled T&T, the tacos and tequila mecca at Luxor and RHUMBAR, the stylish drink spot and outdoor lounge at The Mirage. The company also manages Casa Fuente, a cigar bar located inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. |

A recognized Las Vegas visionary, Michael Frey has successfully conceptualized and launched multiple businesses in the restaurant, nightlife, spirits and cigar industries over the past 20 years. His newest business venture, Drive This! Entertainment, has quickly become one of Las Vegas' leading hospitality development and management companies with its innovative lineup of restaurant and nightlife venues. In addition to Drive This! Entertainment, Frey also operates and owns FreyBoy Tobacco, which includes Cigarbox.com, an impressive Las Vegas locals store and e-commerce site, along with six Las Vegas Strip retail stores and eight cigarette hostess programs. Most notably, his Casa Fuente cigar store, inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, is the first-ever exclusively Arturo Fuente branded shop. In the world of spirits, Frey teamed with Tim Haughinberry in 2002 to develop and introduce Montecristo Rum, which quickly became one of the most well received new rums to enter the spirits marketplace. The award-winning premium blend of 12-year-old Guatemalan rum was honored as the "Best Rum 2002" by Wine & Spirits Magazine and named one of the "Top 50 Spirits of 2002" by Wine Enthusiast. Frey began his career in the entertainment industry where he worked for several years as a production assistant, story editor, associate producer and vice president of development on such well-known television projects as "Dallas" and "Knots Landing". |
| Craig Gilbert Partner |
As partner of Drive This! Entertainment, Craig Gilbert brings his 21 years of hospitality and entertainment experience to assist with concept creation and the branding and marketing of new projects. He is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Drive This! Entertainment venues. Before partnering with Frey, Gilbert was the vice president of food, beverage and entertainment for Pala Casino Spa and Resort where he oversaw all facets of operations, as well as concept development, design and marketing. Prior to that, Gilbert established roots in Las Vegas as the vice president of food and beverage for the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. He has previously served as director of the Nevada Restaurant Association and has been an active member of various industry organizations, such as the James Beard Association, American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and the American Culinary Federation. |
| Mathilda Murdock Controller |
As the Controller for Drive This! Entertainment, Mathilda Murdock is responsible for the company's and it's affiliates financial operations. Ms. Murdock was born and raised in South Africa, where she received a National Diploma in Marketing. She later moved to Las Vegas in the early 1990s where she graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Accounting. She is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California. She first joined Michael Frey, a partner in Drive This! Entertainment, in 2000 as an employee of Malecon Tobacco. She was promoted to her current position in 2005. A mother of two young daughters, Murdock enjoys spending her free time with her family, as well as running and exploring her passion for creativity through sketching. |
| Rachel Balugo Human Resources Director |
As Human Resources Director for Drive This! Entertainment, Rachel Balugo is responsible for managing personnel matters for the company's employees. She first joined the company in January 2005 working as an Assistant Controller for Malecon Tobacco, LLC, an associated business of Drive This! Entertainment. Ms. Balugo was promoted to her current role in mid-2008, and has assisted the company through its growth and development. Ms. Balugo has 15 years work experience ranging from the mutual fund industry to software companies. Originally from the Bay Area, she graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from San Francisco State University, and received her Human Resource Management Certification in 2007. Ms. Balugo moved to Las Vegas several years ago, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children. |
